The end of my breastfeeding journey with Tommy
I managed to breastfeed Tommy for 22 months which is quite an achievement, and something I’m really proud of. I knew our journey was slowly coming to an end, but I wasn’t quite prepared for how it would happen....
Through all the ups and downs of breastfeeding, I’m so proud that I was able to create a Lactation Range to support other breastfeeding mamas. This was born out of the hard times I faced during my first and ongoing breastfeeding journeys (you can read about my first breastfeeding journey here), and it means so much to me to be able to help other mums feel supported. I love the beautiful community that’s growing, where mums can connect, feel less alone, and have nourishing snacks to fuel their bodies while they work so hard at making milk for their babies. Because, truly, it’s an incredible thing we do.

Reflecting on turning the BIG 40...
When I was approaching my 40th birthday I was feeling quite down and emotional about it. (I don't know why, because I don't for any other birthdays but just because it was 40 I guess it made me think). I was thinking negatively about it in the way of oh man I am halfway to 80, gosh I am going to be so old when my kids have weddings, have children etc. (I have done parenthood later than my friends and these thoughts were making me feel down, guilty and upset). I was talking to a few friends in the lead up to my birthday and they put me right, they told me not to think that way and that it's just another year. This did put my mind at ease, I guess everyone just makes a comment about a 40th Birthday I was making it up to be something it really didn't need to be! -

Roast Pumpkin, Beetroot and Feta Salad
I hope you enjoy this recipe, it is one of my favourite salads and always a crowd pleaser if you want to share….It’s so important we take the time as busy Mums to nourish and fuel our bodies. It is so easy to get caught up in the day and it comes around to 2 or 3pm and we realise we haven't eaten something since morning tea or breakfast….cue heading to the cupboard for a quick easy fix of chips, crackers or chocolate (my hand is up here - guilty!).Please take some time Mama to prepare and fuel your body throughout the day!
