Overnight Oats Recipe
These are the perfect breakfast options for us busy Mums. Whether you are running out the door in the morning to drop the kids to school and head to work (make these in a jar and they are a breakfast on the go!), or if you are at home with your little ones and always seem to be the last to eat some form of food in the morning - this recipe is for you. What’s great about it is that you can make a weeks worth on a Sunday night and be prepared and organised for the busy mornings ahead - this may just make them a little less chaotic! There are many different flavour combinations you can make, be sure to comment down below what ones you find so that we can make them too!
Also for breastfeeding mums - these are a great source of protein with the oats and yoghurt (opt for a high protein/greek yoghurt), add any nuts and seeds to give it that extra boost of protein, fibre and nutrients. Or to make things super easy add a tablespoon of our Lactation Baking Blend which also contains brewers yeast, and other goodies to support your milk supply!
Ingredients:
½ cup of rolled oats
½ cup of milk of choice
½ cup of yoghurt
1 Tablespoon of sweetener of choice, honey, maple syrup, brown rice malt syrup
To make a lactation version -
Add 1 Tablespoon of either of our Lactation Baking Blends in as well
Method:
1: add the above ingredients to a jar and stir to combine
2: add any flavour combinations you like (below are some delicious options)
3: screw on the lid and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours. These last up to 7 days in the fridge - how good!
